
Peter Jarůšek

is a sought-after chamber and solo player. Since 2003, he has been a member of the Pavel Haas Quartet, which, after the Prague Spring and Premio Paolo Borciani competitions in Reggio Emilia, Italy in 2005, quickly established itself among the world's most prominent chamber ensembles today. Prior to joining the Pavel Haas Quartet, he was a member of the Skampa Quartet. A sought-after chamber music expert, he has taught as a visiting professor of chamber music at the Royal Academy in London and has given masterclasses at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the University of Tasmania, the University of Mexico City and the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. As a soloist he has performed with the PKF - Prague Philharmonia, the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, ŠKO Žilina and the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc under the direction of conductors Ondrej Lenárd, Tomáš Netopil, Tomáš Koutník, Robert Stankovský, etc. Peter studied cello at the Bratislava Conservatory with Karol Filipovič and then at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with Daniel Veis.
